Larry: I learned about Piper's secret past the same way, but Jason Biggs' reaction was funnier. Piper: The first episode of the first season is the most close to what I wrote in my book, Larry did propose. Q: How close is the TV show to your story? Piper: My impulsive decisions are normally good. Larry: Well, I got a job in Boston, and I asked her if she wanted to go with me, she had a good job making infomercials, but Piper makes decisions impulsively and said yes. Q: When did you consider yourselves a couple? My roommate David was in a gay and lesbian book club and Piper and he bonded, so she started coming over for book club. Larry: Piper didn't have a TV and her friend Kristen was hell-bent on watching the season finale of "Melrose Place," so I invited them to my place two blocks away to watch it. I remember she was really difficult with the corned beef, it wasn't cooked enough, and they wouldn't serve her a Coke with breakfast and Larry and I thought that was funny and bonded by making fun of her. Anyway, my best friend from college came to visit and she invited this guy she knew from one of her summer jobs to eat with us.
